Classic Truck Restoration · Texoma Classics

If you grew up in North Texas, you already know: trucks aren't just vehicles out here. They're how your granddad hauled hay. They're what your dad drove to work every morning. They're the thing sitting in the barn right now that you keep saying you're going to do something about.

At Texoma Classics in Sherman, TX, classic truck restoration is one of the things we do best. We've been bringing vintage pickups back to life since 2001 -- Chevy C10s, Ford F100s, Dodge Power Wagons, and everything in between. If it's an American truck with a story behind it, we want to hear it.

Why Classic Trucks Deserve a Shop That Gets It

Restoring a classic pickup is different from restoring a car. These trucks were built to work. They hauled, towed, and took a beating for decades. That means the rust is worse, the beds are rougher, and the frames have seen things a Corvette never will. A shop that treats your old Chevy truck like a sports car project is going to miss the mark.

We understand the bones of these trucks because we've torn them down and rebuilt them hundreds of times. We know where a C10 hides rust. We know the weak points on an F100 cab. We know what it takes to make a vintage 4x4 truck ride like it did when it rolled off the line -- or better.

Classic truck restoration demands a particular set of skills: metalwork on heavy-gauge panels, bed floor replacement, cab corner repair, frame-off disassembly on trucks that have spent fifty years on Texas ranch roads. That's the work we do every day at our shop on Industrial Drive in Sherman.

Full Restoration or One Step at a Time

Some truck owners come in knowing exactly what they want: a frame-off, bumper-to-bumper restoration that brings their vintage pickup back to factory condition or better. We handle those projects from start to finish -- disassembly, media blasting, frame repair, bodywork, paint, engine rebuild, interior, wiring, and final assembly.

But just as often, someone walks in and says, "I just need the motor running" or "The bed floor is shot and I need it fixed before I can do anything else." That's a perfectly good place to start. A lot of our best long-term restoration projects began with a single repair. You get to know us, we get to know your truck, and the project grows at your pace and your budget.

Whether you're after a complete old truck restoration or chipping away at it one piece at a time, we'll give you an honest assessment of what your truck needs and what it'll cost. No pressure, no upselling -- just straight talk from people who care about getting it right.

Platforms We Know Inside and Out

Chevy & GMC C10 / C20 / K-Series

The Chevy C10 has become one of the most popular classic truck platforms in the country, and for good reason. Clean lines, a massive aftermarket, and a chassis that takes well to both stock restoration and restomod builds. We've restored C10s from bone-stock farm trucks to LS-swapped daily drivers. If you're looking for classic Chevy truck restoration in the Sherman-Denison area, this is the shop.

Ford F100 / F250

The 1953-79 Ford F-Series trucks have their own devoted following. Bumpsides, Dentside, and the iconic '56 -- we've worked on all of them. Ford truck restoration brings its own set of challenges (those cab mounts, for one), and we've developed the techniques to handle them properly.

Dodge & International

Dodge Power Wagons, Dodge D-Series, IH Scouts, and Travelalls -- the trucks that don't get as much press but have devoted owners who love them. We respect the less common platforms just as much as the popular ones. If your truck was built in America, we can restore it.

Restomods: Classic Looks, Modern Guts

A lot of truck owners -- especially guys who want to actually drive their trucks, not just show them -- are going the restomod route. Keep the classic body and style, but swap in a modern drivetrain, upgrade the suspension, add disc brakes and air conditioning. A vintage truck you can take on Highway 75 to the lake without white-knuckling it.

We build restomod trucks regularly and tailor each one to how the owner plans to use it. Weekend cruiser? Ranch truck that still needs to pull a trailer? Daily driver in DFW traffic? Each of those is a different build, and we'll spec it out with you.

Serving Truck Owners Across the Texoma Region

Our shop in Sherman, Texas sits right off Highway 56 with easy access from US-75 and Highway 289. We serve classic truck owners from across North Texas and the Texoma area -- Denison, Whitesboro, Pottsboro, Bonham, Gainesville, and beyond. We regularly take on projects from the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and even out of state. If your truck can get here on a trailer, we can work on it.

You already know what you've got. That truck in the garage, the barn, or the back forty -- it's worth saving. Whether it's a family heirloom, a truck you've been dreaming about for years, or a project you picked up at a swap meet last weekend, we'll help you figure out the right path forward.
