The Dodge Ramcharger is a large sport utility vehicle built by Dodge from 1974 to 1993, based on a shortened-wheelbase version of the Dodge D Series/Ram Pickup truck chassis. A Plymouth version, named the Plymouth Trail Duster, offers from 1974 to 1981, was Plymouth’s only SUV.

Restoration Progress

We will be doing a new paint job on this Ramcharger. Also installing a new engine, transmission and transfer case.

We have removed the hood and begun to teardown the engine.

We have gotten the engine and transmission removed.

Beginning to teardown the interior and all windows have been removed.

Interior carpet has been completely removed.

We have separated the engine and transmission.

Further progress on the teardown process, it will be getting media blasted next.

We have gotten the body media blasted.

The rear windshield drip rail revealed bondo after it was media blasted. We removed the bondo to weld in a new piece of metal.

We have welded in new metal to repair the damaged drip rail.

We have cut out the drivers floor pan to be replaced with a new floor pan.

The new floor pan getting prepped to be installed.

Doing some light bodywork to the body in preparation for primer.
