Ignition and fuel systems are essential components of classic cars, and they require regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Recently, we had the opportunity to provide ignition and fuel system maintenance for a 1966 Ford Mustang.

Our team of experts began by cleaning the ignition points, ensuring that they were in excellent condition for optimal engine performance. We then installed new wires, which are critical components of the ignition system. Worn-out wires can cause misfires and other issues, leading to reduced performance and fuel efficiency.

Next, our team cleaned the gas tank and reinstalled it, ensuring that the fuel system was in optimal condition. A clean gas tank is essential for the proper functioning of the fuel system, as it prevents debris and contaminants from clogging the fuel lines and injectors. Finally, we installed a new fuel line, which is a vital component of the fuel system. Over time, fuel lines can become brittle and develop cracks, leading to fuel leaks and other issues.

Our team carefully disassembled the carburetor and thoroughly examined the internal components, ensuring that each part was in optimal condition. We identified any issues and addressed them promptly, ensuring that the carburetor would function correctly once reassembled.

We have installed a new carburetor and master cylinder.

Brake systems are critical safety components, and they require regular maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal performance. Recently, we had the opportunity to install a new front brake system upgrade for this 1966 Ford Mustang.

Our team of experts installed new front brake calipers, which are essential components of the brake system responsible for clamping the brake pads onto the rotor, creating the friction required to stop the vehicle. We also installed a new rotor, ensuring that the braking surface was in excellent condition for optimal performance.

To complement the new calipers and rotor, we installed new wheel bearings, which support the weight of the vehicle and allow the wheels to rotate smoothly. Worn-out wheel bearings can cause uneven tire wear, vibrations, and other issues, leading to reduced performance and safety.

Finally, we installed new front rubber lines, which are critical components of the brake system that connect the brake calipers to the brake master cylinder. Over time, rubber lines can become brittle and develop cracks, leading to brake fluid leaks and other issues.

We had to disassemble some of the engine compartment to pull out gearbox.

The new gearbox has been installed.
