Restoration Progress
This Mustang came in for some engine work, steering column repair and fix the rear tires.
We have begun teardown of the interior for media blast.
We have removed the fenders to begin the removal of the engine.
The original engine that came in the vehicle has been removed.
The doors and convertible top have been removed.
We have loaded the body and parts to have them media blasted down to bare metal.
The body is back from being media blasted.
Here we have the deck lid, doors, fenders and hood media blasted and down to bare metal.
We have loaded the body of the vehicle on the rotisserie to get the best angles for any metal repair that is needed.
We have moved the body into the paint booth and sprayed epoxy sealer on to prevent any flash rust forming.
We have painted the inner fenders, wheel wells and the interior of the vehicle black.
In the trunk area, we have fabricated extended wheel wells to accommodate the larger wheels that will be installed.
We have applied seam sealer on the welds to help prevent water getting into the welds and causing rust.
We have drilled out the tack welds on the rocker panel to access the inner rocker since it is completely rusted through.
The inner rocker on the driver's side will be cut out and replaced with new stronger metal.
Now with the passenger side, we will be doing the same work with replacing the inner rocker panel.
The inner rocker panel has been removed, and we will be installing a brand-new rocker.
The new inner rocker is being installed so that it will help with the integrity of the vehicle.
The inner and outer rocker panel has been complete.
The door handles have been shaved off to have the keyless entry installed.
We have begun the bodywork on the deck lid.
The fender extensions have bodywork done and installed on the vehicle.
The new Ford Performance Coyote engine has been delivered.
