Restoration Parts Coordinator
Source, order, and track parts across 50+ active classic car restoration projects in our Sherman, TX shop.
About the Role
Texoma Classics is seeking an automotive parts specialist to source and manage components throughout our restoration projects. This role requires hands-on automotive knowledge combined with strong organizational and computer skills to keep our shop's parts pipeline flowing smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Review daily parts requests from restoration technicians
- Research and identify correct parts based on vehicle specs and fitment
- Locate reliable vendors and suppliers for hard-to-find classic car components
- Create and manage purchase requisitions
- Verify part accuracy before ordering
- Receive, inspect, and check parts into inventory
- Distribute parts to technicians and track usage across projects
- Communicate with technicians regarding fitment questions and alternatives
- Maintain organized records of orders, vendors, and parts history
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong automotive knowledge — mechanic or restoration experience preferred
- Parts identification and fitment knowledge across vehicle makes and models
- Online vendor sourcing experience for classic and vintage parts
- Microsoft Excel and Outlook proficiency
- Computer research and ordering skills with web-based tools
- Typing proficiency of 25+ words per minute
- CRM or spreadsheet experience preferred
- Multi-tasking ability across multiple active projects
- Authorization to work in the United States
- High school diploma minimum; 1–3 years of data entry, administrative support, or similar experience
