Classic Car Restoration Lead Technician
Lead production operations and serve as the primary technical liaison for our Sherman, TX restoration team.
About the Role
We are a small shop looking for a highly organized, technically-minded Lead Technician. In this role, you will directly support our shop manager and perform daily scheduling of our team of mechanical, paint and body, and upholstery technicians, troubleshooting and assisting in project planning as well as performing mechanical work in support of our project objectives.
Responsibilities
- Build daily and weekly labor schedules ensuring staff alignment with project milestones
- Address shop floor obstacles including broken components, fabrication challenges, and rust issues
- Track vehicle conditions in project management systems for accurate future planning
- Identify workflow bottlenecks and reallocate resources to prevent idle time
- Filter technical staff inquiries, allowing the Shop Manager to focus on customer relations
- Maintain OSHA safety compliance across the production floor
