Texoma Classics in Sherman, Texas is seeking an experienced Auto Body Restoration Technician to join our expert team. We specialize in high-quality classic car restorations and are looking for a skilled professional who takes pride in their craft.
Responsibilities
- Perform metal repair, welding, and patch panel installation on classic vehicles
- Paint classic vehicles with a focus on high-quality finishes, using both custom and restoration techniques
- Execute surface preparation including sanding, priming, and masking
- Operate painting equipment in controlled booth environments
- Follow OSHA safety regulations while maintaining an organized and clean workspace
- Document materials, tasks, and time in computer systems
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Body Shop Technician; experience in classic car restoration is highly preferred
- Knowledge of automotive paints, primers, finishes, and metal repair
- Expertise in surface preparation, welding (TIG and MIG), and patch panel installation
- Fiberglass work experience, especially with Corvettes
- Personal tools and reliable transportation required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
- Portfolio of automotive body/paint work is required
- Authorization to work in the United States
- High school diploma minimum; 2+ years of relevant experience
